Wolves 0-2 Arsenal : SuperFab Does it again !!

I'm certainly glad we got the three points. Chelsea won and the manchester derby was disgusting and dull, so we had to get the three points today or be faced with another week of the same old sh*t from the blogs all over again.

I hope the players at Arsenal never end up reading all the crap that's said about them -- given that it all miraculously vanishes after a win. But thats football I guess.

(1) Big win for us tonight, It was very important because this was the type of game where we usually drop points.Wolves were on a winless streak despite having played some good football. We're usually the friendly visitors with points to spare on these occasions.

(2) Cesc Fabregas had a better game. Not quite his best but a lot better than saturday. His booking was a let off in my opinion, I've seen referees give some of these as reds, but I like to see that in his game because he's always on the receiving end of some pretty bad tackles himself.

(3) Fabianski was outstanding. He was the reason we held on. His rise to form has been great to watch, and all the whining c*nts who were asking for a new keeper can f*ck themselves. Of course, in previous seasons our goalkeepers always gave us another reason to lose. Its just a reminder that the "big" teams manage to grind these results out largely thanks to their goalkeepers. Fabianski being consistent is a great thing.

(4) Our supposed "strongest" midfield of Fabregas, Song and Wilshere may not be that strong. Fabregas is the least defensive of the lot. Both Song and Wilshere are strong attackers and more often than not, there have been defensive holes. Saturday was a good indicator of this. I thought we looked a lot better today after Denilson came on for Wilshere, though I wouldn't start him above Wilshere on current form. Tired legs maybe. In any event, Wenger should definetely balance things as the season progresses.

(5) Samir Nasri was rested today. Should Wenger rotate Nasri with Fabregas and play them in the same position ? It can certainly help both players recover their fitness better and not lose a defensive position during the games. Besides, Nasri has the "right forward" position for the big games when they are both needed.

(6) Today's masterstroke was Rosicky for Walcott. I'm a big fan of Theo, but he's still only 21 and shows it every time he faces a camera post match ( or during games even ? ). Of course, the megalomaniacal British media only make it worse, to the point where everyone seems to get carried away with expectation, which seems to make Theo play worse. What he needs is some zen on his ipod and lots and lots of practice. Some of it in defending perhaps, especially given that he sees himself in Thierry Henry's role someday. Rosicky on the other hand had a solid performace today, both in attack and in defense.

(7) Djorou had a good game too. He's getting stronger, literally almost. Unfortunately, he's still on the slower side when you think of strikers like Torres who can take off after one touch. With Vermaelen out indefinetely, his improving form is very encouraging.

(7) We still need a Plan B. Maybe we have one and I just don't see it. Wolves didn't mark us as close as Newcastle and I'm grateful for that. There will be many more games where that won't be the case.

Everton however, will have none of that nonsense.
